Ramadan Bersemi Program PT BPI Distributes Paints for Musholla and Mosques

BATANG - PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia (BPI) distributed paint for worship places in several villages around the construction of a Central Java Coal-Fired Power Plant 2 x 1.000 MW in Batang Regency. The activity with the theme "RAMADHAN BERSEMI" Sharing Together amid a pandemic is a form of company concern and care for residents who are preparing and welcoming the Holy Month of Ramadan.

The paint assistance program for prayer room (Musholla), Mosque and TPQ (Al-Qurán Learning Center for Children) spread in the villages around the Central Java CFPP 2 x 1,000 MW has been running since 2017 until now. Even in the situation of the Covid-19 pandemic, the public and religious leaders still welcomed this program.

General Manager of Community & Government Relations of PT BPI, Ary Wibowo said that in addition to providing paint assistance, the company also provided masks, portable hand washing stations, and washed all prayer equipment in Mushollah and mosques.

"In 2021, we will provide paint, masks, portable hand washing stations and wash prayer equipment in 23 Mushollahs, mosques and TPQs spread across 17 villages. During implementation, all are required to apply health protocols” said Ary Wibowo.

He further explained that since this program was implemented, 170 mushollas and mosques have received painting program assistance. Then during the implementation of this program, there were no mass gathering activities or ceremonies considering the government's appeal regarding the prevention of Covid-19.

Meanwhile, for the washing of prayer equipment, we prioritize musholla and mosques in the three closest villages, namely, Ujungnegoro Village, Karanggeneng Village and Ponowareng Village. The washing is carried out at the Micro Enterprise Group - Laundry under the guidance of CSR Program of PT BPI that spread across the three villages.

"We also spray disinfectants and provide portable hand washing stations as a form of preventing the spread of Covid-19 in the villages around the Central Java CFPP” said Ary Wibowo.

It is hoped that the routine program, which is carried out every time before the holy month of Ramadan, can help and ease the burden on Musholla and mosque administrators around the Central Java CFPP 2 x 1,000 MW construction project and the community can carry out fasting services in a solemn, calm, safe, peaceful, and smooth manner.
