Tombo Village Government Officially Enacts Environmental Conservation Village Regulation

Plant — The Government of Tombo Village, Bandar Sub-district, Batang
Regency, officially enacted a Village Regulation (Perdes) on Environmental
Conservation at the Tombo Village Hall on Thursday, 15 January 2026.
The enactment of this Village
Regulation represents a strategic step by the Tombo Village Government to
strengthen environmental protection while ensuring the sustainability of the
village’s natural resources. The event involved various stakeholders, including
village government officials, village institutions, community members, local
government agencies, and a private-sector partner, PT Bhimasena Power
Indonesia, the owner of the Batang Power Plant.
In his remarks, Tombo Village
Head Mustajab, S.Pd, stated that the regulation serves as an important legal
foundation to encourage public awareness and active community participation in
sustainable environmental protection.
“This Village Regulation on
environmental conservation not only serves as a legal framework, but also
represents a shared commitment to protecting the village from potential
pollution and environmental degradation, while upholding local wisdom values,”
he said.
Head of the Batang Regency
Environmental Agency (DLH Batang), Rusmanto, expressed his appreciation to the
Tombo Village Government for initiating the drafting of the Environmental
Conservation Village Regulation with the support of PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia.
“This regulation is one of DLH
Batang’s flagship programs that has been conveyed to the Regent of Batang. We
extend our gratitude to BPI for supporting the drafting of the Environmental
Conservation Village Regulation of Tombo Village and for directly assisting us
in the implementation of this flagship program,” Rusmanto stated.
Meanwhile, General Manager of
Stakeholder Relation of PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia, Aryamir H. Sulasmoro,
conveyed the company’s support for the enactment of the environmental
regulation, emphasizing its importance for all stakeholders.
“We are committed to continuing
to synergize with village governments and communities, as we believe that
through strong collaboration, local wisdom values can go hand in hand with
sustainable development,” said Aryamir H. Sulasmoro.
The enactment event was attended
by approximately 60 participants, including representatives from the Village
Government, Village Consultative Body (BPD), LMDH, BUMDes, community leaders,
related government agencies, and corporate partners. Representatives from the
Batang Regency Environmental Agency and CDK IV Pekalongan were also present to
show their support for environmental conservation initiatives at the village
level.
