Project Introduction and Environmental Impact Assessment (AMDAL) Public Consultation

BPI engaged with various stakeholders during the AMDAL process to explain the Project’s details, potential positive and negative impacts, and CSR activities, as well as hear comments and suggestions on every occasion. Topics of discussion included: job opportunities for the construction and operation phases; land compensation; BPI’s commitment to environmental management; and CSR activities such as supporting for infrastructures, education, mosques and health facilities. Stakeholders involved included community representatives, NGOs, and government agencies. The primary objective of community engagement in this year was to build relationships within the local community to identify the needs of the community as well as to build the foundation for the CSR programs in coming years.
