PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia (BPI) is a joint venture company established by a consortium of three companies of Electric Power Development Co., Ltd. (J-Power), PT Adaro Power (Adaro Power), and ITOCHU Corporation (ITOCHU). BPI develops, constructs, and operates Central Java Coal-Fired Power Plant 2 x 1,000 MW (“Batang Power Plant”) in Batang Regency, Central Java Province which supplies electricity to PT PLN (Persero). Batang Power Plant is the first project infrastructure project in Indonesia that is implemented in Public-Private Partnership ("PPP") scheme and also categorized as a National Strategic Project. Batang Power Plant plays a notable role to facilitate infrastructure development and will fulfil a portion of the electricity needs growth in Indonesia.
