With approximately 130 bases in 65 countries, ITOCHU, one of the leading sogo shosha, is engaging in domestic trading, import/export, and overseas trading of various products such as textile, machinery, metals, minerals, energy, chemicals, food, information and communications technology, realty, general products, insurance, logistics services, construction, and finance, as well as business investment in Japan and overseas.

ITOCHU is involved in various aspects of power generation projects all over the world. ITOCHU is not only involved in construction and refurbishment projects, but also undertakes Independent Power Producer (IPP) businesses using more environmentally friendly technologies including geothermal, wind and solar as well as high efficiency thermal power plant. Furthermore, ITOCHU is undertaking operation and maintenance business throughout the world as one of our core business segments.
