SEMARANG—Supporting the acceleration of the Uninhabitable Houses ("RTLH") program, PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia ("BPI") signed a cooperation agreement ("PKS") with the Public Housing and Settlement Area Office ("Disperakim") of Central Java Province. The signing of PKS on Facilitation of Fly Ash and Bottom Ash ("FABA") Utilization of Central Java Power Plant 2 x 1,000 MW (Batang Power Plant), was carried out by Head of Disperakim of Central Java Arief Djatmiko and President Director of BPI Ryuta Sato at Ciputra Hotel Semarang, Friday (11/8).
Head of Disperakim of Central Java Arief Djatmiko asked applicators or developers who build subsidized houses and MSMEs engaged in the building materials sector to be able to make maximum use of the PKS that has been carried out by Disperakim and the Batang Power Plant.
This is to facilitate the use of FABA materials with the aim of achieving Zero Waste Disposal and providing benefits, especially for low-income people who need livable houses, infrastructure, facilities, and public utilities (PSU).
Arief Djatmiko invited all parties to help succeed and launch quality improvement programs in RTLH and healthy simple houses that are currently being promoted by the central government.
"This PKS is very good for developers of the construction of Healthy Simple Houses and what is clear is that with this PKS, Central Java is starting to enter the development using environmentally friendly materials by utilizing coal combustion waste materials at power plant / "REUSE" Central Java Go Green," said Arief Djatmiko, after the 2023 National Housing Day Commemoration event as well as the 78th Anniversary of Central Java Province and the signing of the PKS between the Disperakim of Central Java and BPI last week.
It was further explained that the collaboration between Disperakim and BPI is a form of joint commitment in supporting the acceleration of the RTLH program in the Central Java Province. This program is also a special concern of Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo to succeed, and accelerate the implementation of the RTLH program by utilizing FABA from the Batang Power Plant.
Meanwhile, PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia itself has implemented the RTLH program for communities in the villages around the Batang Power Plant since 2019. Through CSR programs, BPI has supported government programs in poverty alleviation by increasing decent and quality housing so that public health can be well maintained.
Since 2019, BPI has realized 45 supports for RTLH in 4 villages around Batang Power Plant, namely Karanggeneng Village, Ponowareng Village, Ujungnegoro Village and Wonokerso Village. Meanwhile, for 2023 itself, 10 RTLH support packages have been prepared and 4 packages have been realized.
This program is a manifestation of the company's commitment to the social conditions of the community in the villages around Batang Power Plant. Including commitment to the government in the success of the RTLH program
"Thank you for the appreciation and trust of the Central Java Provincial government and all parties for their support for the Batang Power Plant in the FABA management and utilization program."
