Supporting the Development of Human Resources in Batang Regency, Batang Power Plant Continues to Provide Scholarships
Bhimasena Power, Batang Power Plant – PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia (“BPI”) continue to improve human resources in Batang Regency by providing scholarships for four students from Ujungnegoro, Karanggeneng and Kenconorejo Villages. The handover of scholarship was witnessed by the Acting Regent of Batang, village heads, and parents or guardians of scholarship recipients at the Administration Building of BPI on Saturday, September 21, 2024.
To date, a total of six Batang residents have received scholarships from Batang Power Plant. The scholarships provided by BPI cover tuition fees and additional monthly living expenses for students who pass a series of stages of the selection process including administrative selection, interviews, and psychological tests. Currently, scholarships are awarded to four students who passed all stages of the selection, namely Diponegoro University (UNDIP) English study program student Zakky Zahira from Ujungnegoro Village, UNDIP Electrical Engineering study program student Ferdi Aditya from Karanggeneng Village, Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) Management study program student Purwoko Aji Widodo from Karanggeneng Village, and UNDIP Computer Engineering study program student Vennanda Azzahra Putri from Kenconorejo Village.
Acting Regent of Batang, Lani Dwi Rejeki expressed her appreciation to BPI which is always committed to supporting the community and Batang Regency Government programs in various Corporate Social Responsibility/CSR programs that have been carried out. Both scholarship programs and improving school facilities, school teaching aids, in the health sector, support the Batang Regency Government eradicate stunting in two villages, free from ODF, eradicating extreme poverty, empowering MSMEs, which proves that BPI has a large share and an important role for the community and the Batang Regency Government.
“I appreciate BPI’s initiative by providing scholarships to four outstanding students around the Batang Power Plant. The existence of BPI in the community is very directly beneficial. Hopefully, this scholarship program can spur the enthusiasm of young generation in Batang Regency to show their achievements. In addition, we as Batang residents must be proud because we have National Vital Objects and National Strategic Projects and we must maintain them together to create a safe and conducive situation,” said Lani Dwi Rejeki.
BPI Chief Operating Officer, Yoshimitsu Fujii stated that last year we provided scholarships to two outstanding students. This year, we also provide scholarships to four outstanding students. For that, I congratulate the students who have succeeded in getting the scholarship program and the enthusiasm to pursue higher education.
“We hope that this scholarship program can be utilized as well as possible, the scholarship recipients maintain their achievements, so that they can complete their studies well. The hope is that these students can contribute maximally to their families and society. We also really hope that in the future we can synergize with scholarship recipients in developing the Batang Power Plant and together we can bring Batang Regency to a better change," said Yoshimitsu Fujii.
Anita Ali Mufti, a 3rd semester Management student from Kenconorejo Village who said that the BPI scholarship really helped her life during college and was a new experience while participating in BPI CSR activities such as exhibitions and Best Class activities.
"I hope that I can give good achievements during my studies and in the future, I can synergize with BPI and contribute more to Batang Regency," said Anita Ali Mufti.
Ferdi Aditya, a 1st semester electrical engineering student from Karanggeneng Village, said that the BPI scholarship program is known through the BEST CLASS program, this scholarship really helps financially during college because BPI provides tuition fee assistance and living cost subsidies.
"Thank you to BPI, I hope to be able to study and excel during college and after graduating I can work or contribute at BPI so that it can provide benefits to the people of Batang Regency", said Ferdi Aditya.
Mukhlisotun, the parent of Zakky Zahira Isfarina, a UNDIP student from Ujungnegoro Village, thanked the BPI scholarship program because it was very helpful financially and showed BPI's concern for the surrounding community.
"I hope the BPI scholarship program can be used as well as possible and the children can provide benefits to BPI and Batang Regency". Muslikhotun said.
Meanwhile, the Secretary of Kenconorejo Village, Dian, representing the Head of Ujungnegoro and Karanggeneng Villages, expressed his gratitude for BPI's concern in improving the education of the BPI scholarship program for children in villages around the Batang Power Plant.
"This scholarship assistance is very helpful for our residents, thank you to BPI for helping to advance the world of education.
