Bhimasena Power, Batang Power Plant — PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia has successfully earned the Green Rating Certificate at the 2025 Electrical Safety Implementation Forum and Appreciation event organized by the Directorate General of Electricity of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM). The Green Rating was awarded in recognition of BPI’s consistency and improved performance in applying the Electrical Safety Management System (SMK2) at Batang Power Plant, Central Java.

The event, held on Friday, October 31, 2025 in Jakarta, is a form of government appreciation for business entities that own and manage electrical installations and have demonstrated the best performance and innovation in implementing Electrical Safety (K2).

This achievement marks significant progress, as Batang Power Plant previously received the Blue Rating in the same assessment last year. The upgraded rating reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening a safety culture and ensuring the reliability of power plant operations on a sustainable basis.

In his remarks, Acting Director General of Electricity, Tri Winarno, emphasized that electrical safety is the key foundation for maintaining the reliability of the national electricity supply while supporting efforts to accelerate the transition toward sustainable clean energy. He also expressed appreciation to the business entities receiving awards for their commitment to consistently implementing electrical safety systems, and he hopes that this recognition will motivate others to enhance safety standards in their respective fields.

“Electrical safety is not merely a compliance requirement but must become a safety culture that continues to be enhanced across all sectors of the electricity industry. We also hope that the implementation of electrical safety becomes an integral part of the transformation toward a more reliable, efficient, and environmentally friendly electricity sector,” said Tri Winarno.

Batang Power Plant was deemed successful in demonstrating significant improvements in safety governance, supervisory effectiveness, emergency preparedness, and risk control implementation within the power plant environment. The evaluation was conducted by a team of experts from the government, academia, practitioners, and industry.

Chief Technical Officer of PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia, Masaru Yokobori, expressed his appreciation for this achievement, stating that it serves as motivation for the company to continue enhancing safety standards across all operational lines at Batang Power Plant. This aligns with the company's values that prioritize safety.

“This award is the result of the hard work of all Ksatria Bhimasena and our partners in maintaining operational safety and reliability. We are committed to continuously strengthening the safety culture as the foundation of sustainable and responsible operations,” said Masaru Yokobori.

BPI reaffirmed that workplace safety, environmental protection, and reliable electricity supply are top priorities in supporting the national electricity system.
