Promoting a Healthy Community: PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia Collaborates with the Health Department to Hold Free Health Checkups for 300 Residents of Batang

Bhimasena Power, Batang Power Plant - As a tangible demonstration of its commitment to improving the quality of life for communities near the Batang Power Plant operational area, PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia (BPI) successfully organized a series of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs in the form of free health checkups held over three days, from May 18 to 20, 2026. The initiative, centered in three villages,Ujungnegoro, Karanggeneng, and Ponowareng successfully provided medical services to at least 300 local residents. In its implementation, PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia collaborated closely with the Batang District Health Department to ensure optimal and integrated healthcare standards for all participants.

Batang Health Office Head Dr. Ida Susilaksmi, M.Kes, explained that this program was designed not merely as a medical treatment service, but as a crucial first step in providing education and preventive measures to raise public awareness of the importance of self managed health. Through physical examinations that include blood pressure checks, X-rays, and other health indicators, it is hoped that the community can detect early risks of non-communicable diseases as well as respiratory tract infections.

"The primary focus of this health screening is the early detection of potential health issues, particularly Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI). Through direct consultation sessions with the medical team, residents were equipped with an understanding of clean and healthy living practices (PHBS) as the primary defense against the spread of respiratory diseases, which are often influenced by environmental factors and weather changes," said Dr. Ida Susilaksmi, M.Kes.

Meanwhile, General Manager of Stakeholder Relations at PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia, Aryamir H. Sulasmoro, emphasized that this initiative is part of the company’s long-term commitment to grow alongside the community through CSR programs.

“In addition to the free health check-up program, we also provided food packages to residents who underwent health screenings. Moving forward, PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia will continue to collaborate with relevant agencies to deliver programs that have a positive and sustainable impact on the well-being of residents in Batang Regency,” stated Aryamir H. Sulasmoro.

The Head of Ponowareng Village, Widodo, expressed his appreciation for the collaboration between PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia and the Health Office in implementing the free health check-up program.
