Bhimasena Power, Batang Power Plant – PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia (BPI) officially launched the Biodiversity Book of the Central Java 2 × 1,000 MW Power Plant (Batang Power Plant), followed by a panel discussion at the Batang Regency Hall on Tuesday, 30 June 2026.

The publication serves as tangible evidence of the Company's commitment to transparency and environmental stewardship in the areas surrounding the Batang Power Plant. Developed through close collaboration between BPI and the Haliaster Nature Lovers Group from the Department of Biology at Diponegoro University (UNDIP), and published by Gagas Bisnis, the book presents the results of comprehensive biodiversity monitoring conducted between 2013 and 2025 across six observation stations surrounding the plant's operational area. Based on documented scientific findings, the area supports a rich ecosystem consisting of 204 plant species (flora), 108 bird species, including 17 protected species and 16 migratory species from Australia and Asia 80 butterfly species (Lepidoptera), 36 dragonfly species (Odonata), 30 herpetofauna species (reptiles and amphibians), and seven mammal species. The operational area has also been identified as an important habitat for species of high conservation value, including the endangered Java Sparrow (Padda oryzivora) and the Black-naped Oriole (Oriolus chinensis), the official faunal mascot of Central Java Province.

Hidayat Ashari, M.Agr., a researcher at the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), presented the study's findings and highlighted the key insights from the Biodiversity Book of the Central Java Power Plant 2 × 1,000 MW, which documents the rich biodiversity within PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia's operational area based on scientific monitoring conducted between 2013 and 2025.

Through commitment, technology, and collaboration, BPI has addressed these risks with concrete actions, including rigorous environmental monitoring, massive mangrove planting, improved waste management, and community empowerment CSR programs," stated M.
