Bhimasena Power Indonesia Supports the Village Latinizations Program Assisted by the Central Java Provincial Government

Bhimasena Power, Batang Power Plant – PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia (BPI), through the Bhimasena Lentera Kesehatan program, has once again shown its commitment to supporting the health and welfare of the community through the provision of proper sanitation facilities by collaborating with the Central Java Provincial Social Service on the Assisted Village Latrine Program on Monday, May 19, 2025, in Kalisalak Village, Kebasen District, Banyumas Regency. 

The handover of assistance was carried out symbolically which was witnessed by the Central Java Social Service, the Central Java DPRD, the Village Head and the people of Kalisalak Village. This activity is part of an effort to improve the quality of life of the community through the provision of proper and healthy basic sanitation facilities. 

Acting Secretary of the Central Java Provincial Social Service, Endah Dwi Setiorini, SH, MH, expressed his appreciation for the cooperation between the government and the private sector and hoped that synergy and collaboration could give birth to programs that were beneficial to the community.

 "We really appreciate the concern shown by PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia for the residents of Kalisalak Village, as evidenced by the assistance of this latrines. Synergy and collaboration between the government and companies like this, God willing, will continue to create programs that are more beneficial to the community," said Endah Dwi Setiorini.

This latrine program is designed to promote clean and healthy living practices by ensuring access to proper sanitation facilities. With proper toilet installation, communities can reduce the risk of water and soil pollution, which is often associated with various health problems. In addition, this program also aims to increase public awareness and encourage them to play an active role in maintaining cleanliness and health in their environment.

One of the beneficiaries, Mardan, expressed his gratitude for the assistance received. "Thank you for the assistance provided by Batang Power Plant. This assistance makes me and my family live healthier and more comfortable," he said.

President Director of PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia Takhide Hori represented by External Relations Manager Bagus Dona Doni said that this program is a clear example of the company's commitment to providing benefits to the community.

"We are very proud to be part of this community development program, which is a clear example of our commitment to benefit the wider community. We believe that good sanitation is the key to improving people's quality of life, and we believe that this program can have a significant positive impact," said Takahide Hori.

Through the Bhimasena Lentera Kesehatan CSR program, BPI consistently supports the improvement of public health, especially in the area around the company's operations. Since 2013, BPI has supported the Batang Regency Government by providing assistance for Open Defecation Free (ODF) program which is focused on providing proper sanitation facilities for the community in Batang Regency. This program has reached 14 villages around the Batang Power Plant and has succeeded in significantly reducing the rate of open defecation.
