We are currently looking for a highly qualified and dynamic professional manpower for the following position:

HEALTH & SAFETY OFFICER (HSO)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare forms and conduct safety assessments of work locations to identify potential hazards and safety risks so that appropriate preventive measures can be taken before work begins.
  • Monitor the resolution of assessment findings through coordination with related parties to follow up on the recommendations provided, ensuring that the work environment remains safe and compliant with applicable safety standards.
  • Compile daily assessment reports to documenting safety conditions and generated recommendations, enabling management to make appropriate decisions to improve workplace safety.
  • Conduct safety patrols to monitor all activities in the operations and maintenance areas to ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with applicable safety standards.
  • Investigate any incidents that occur in the work area and analyze the causes of those incidents.
  • Collect data and compile reports on performance monitoring results and safety statistics related to the number of working hours, working days, and accident records to provide a clear picture of the company’s safety performance, allowing for the identification of areas that require further attention.
  • Carry out the procurement process for safety supplies and equipment to ensure that the company's needs for these items are met and available.
  • Conduct accurate recording and inventory of safety supplies and equipment to maintain their availability and condition for use by employees.
  • Carry out assessments of work related to the PTW System. Be it in the form of Hot Work, Confined Space, Working at Height, Working near, under and above water, work related to excavation and also assessment of lifting work. 
  • Ensure adequate safety control measures for any work that requires PTW non system, and also check their appropriateness in the site before and during the work. 
  • Measure the potential physical, chemical, biological, ergonomic, and psychological hazards of all existing facilities and provide mitigation plans or recommended work methods for identified risks to prevent accidents and create a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Follow and comply with HSE programs and procedures to achieve zero LTI (Lost Time Injury).
  • Performing additional tasks as necessary to support the achievement of company objectives.
  • Ensure availability and readiness of firefighting gear and regular inspection and testing are conducted as per agreed schedule.
  • Involving in organizing regular emergency response training and drills (fire drill, chemical spill, confined space rescue, etc.
  • Ensure fire prevention systems (fire alarm, hydrant, extinguishers, suppression system) are maintained and functional.


Job Requirements:

  • Education background bachelor’s degree (S1) in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), OHSE, Engineering, or a related field from reputable university with at least 2 years relevant experience in HSE field.
  • Comprehensive experience in the power plant sector or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of HSE regulation, HSE best practices, especially in Safety Rules.
  • People person, good communication, negotiation, strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Basic computer operation with MS-Office (MS Excel, MS Power Point, MS-Word and MS-Project).
  • Fluent in English both verbal and written.
  • Willing to work in emergency work at site.
  • Willing to be placed in Batang, Central Java.
