Batang Power Plant and Batang Health Agency Collaborate to Guarantee the Health of 175 Underprivileged Residents

Bhimasena Power Indonesia (BPI) and the Batang Regency Health Agency handed
over health insurance program assistance to 175 underprivileged residents from
Ujungnegoro, Karanggeneng, Ponowareng, and Roban Barat Hamlet, Kedungsegog
Village. This assistance was witnessed by the Social Agency of Batang Regency,
Health Agency of Batang Regency, Kandeman Sub-district Head, Kandeman and Tulis
Sub-district Leadership Communication Forums, and BPJS Kesehatan at the Karanggeneng
Village Hall on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.
General Manager of Stakeholder Relations,
Aryamir H. Sulasmoro, through CSR & Community Relations Manager Ahmad
Lukman, stated that this activity is an implementation of the Cooperation
Agreement (PKS) among BPI, the Pekalongan Branch of BPJS Kesehatan, and the
Health Agency of Batang Regency to support the Universal Health Coverage (UHC)
program in Batang Regency, which aims to increase health coverage of National
Health Insurance (JKN) membership for underprivileged residents and fishermen
communities around the Batang Power Plant.
"Together with the Health Agency of Batang
Regency, we are working to improve the access to public health services by
facilitating National Health Insurance (JKN) membership for 175 beneficiaries
who have been verified by the Village Government and meet the criteria, such as
being underprivileged and not yet receiving government assistance," said
Aryamir H. Sulasmoro.

Relations also added that the beneficiaries include 18 fishermen from Roban
Barat, Kedungsegog Village, one beneficiary from Ponowareng Village, 32
beneficiaries from Karanggeneng Village, and 124 beneficiaries from Ujungnegoro
Village. The health insurance program will be available from June 2025 to May
2026. The program aims to provide adequate health protection and promote a
healthier and more prosperous society.
Achmad Sutono, a fisherman from Roban
Barat, Kedungsegog Village, and one of the beneficiaries, expressed his
appreciation for BPI's ongoing CSR programs in the villages surrounding the
Batang PLTU, particularly for the Roban fishing community, encompassing
environmental, health, economic, infrastructure, and other programs.
"This BPI CSR program has been very
helpful and has eased the burden on our families in accessing adequate
healthcare. Hopefully, BPI can continue to operate smoothly and benefit the
surrounding residents," said Achmad Sutono.
Acting Head of Health Agency of Batang
Regency, Ida Susilaksmi, expressed her appreciation to BPI for working with the
Health Agency to support the Batang Regency Government's target of Universal
Health Coverage.
"On this occasion, we also urge
everyone to continue fostering and developing community self-reliance by
prioritizing health. Furthermore, BPI's contribution to Batang Regency has been
extraordinary through its health-focused CSR programs, such as stunting
reduction, Community-Based Total Sanitation, and Open Defecation-Free (ODF). We
hope this can be further expanded to help even more people achieve
independence," said Ida Susilaksmi.
The Head of Social Agency of Batang
Regency, Willopo, expressed his appreciation for the collaboration between BPI
and the Batang Health Agency, which provided health insurance to 175 residents.
He also expressed his gratitude to the village government, as all villages in
Batang Regency now have Social Health Centers (Puskesos), facilitating access
to facilities for the community.
"We are very proud of BPI's
contribution and concern for the communities surrounding the Batang Power
Plant. We hope that Batang Regency will continue to maintain Universal Health
Coverage, and that the community will support all government programs,"
