adds to their experience and knowledge as early as possible to protect the
coastal area together".
The Head of Kedungsegog Village,
Rusbad, appreciated the Mageri Segoro program organized by the Central Java
Provincial government involving various parties in Batang Regency. The planting
of mangroves is very helpful to fence coastal areas to reduce the impact of
abrasion.
"We hope that we can then
get direction and training to maintain mangroves that have been planted along
the coast. Thank you also for the support of PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia which
has been a good neighbour for us in Roban".
The Head of the Forestry Service
Branch Office Region IV Gunawan, revealed that the Mageri Segoro activity
initiated by the Central Java Provincial Government has been carried out in
Batang Regency since June 2025 and received full support from PT Bhimasena
Power Indonesia by providing 50,000 mangrove seedlings for Batang Regency.
"Until now, 10,000 avicennia
and rizhophora mangroves have been planted along the coast of Batang
Regency involving multi-stakeholders in Batang Regency who will be jointly
maintained and beneficial for conservation, fence the sea from abrasion and
provide an economic impact that prospers the community," said Gunawan.
Chief Operating Officer of PT
Bhimasena Power Indonesia, Naofumi Yasuda, said that PT Bhimasena Power
Indonesia as a strategic partner of the government is committed to planting
50,000 mangroves in Batang Regency. The activity, which was organized by Batang
Regency Environment Office, Forestry Service Region IV Pekalongan Branch, also
involved students of Kedungsegog 02 Public Elementary School to instill
awareness of preserving nature from an early age and in the future can become
agents of change who care about the environment. We also believe that to
increase the awareness of the wider community about the importance of
maintaining coastal ecosystems requires synergy with the media for that, today
fellow journalists from various media are also involved in planting together.
"As part of our commitment
to the environment and coastal communities in Batang Regency, PT Bhimasena
Power Indonesia strongly supports mangrove planting activities on the Batang
coast as well as the success of the Mageri Segoro program organized by the
Central Java Provincial Government. Mangroves not only play an important role
in maintaining biodiversity and coastal ecosystems, but also provide great
benefits to local communities in terms of protection from abrasion and
improving environmental quality. We believe that this activity will contribute
significantly to conservation and environmental preservation efforts in the
Batang Regency, as well as increase public awareness of the importance of
protecting coastal ecosystems," said Naofumi Yasuda. (*)
