Bhimasena Power, Batang PLTU - PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia's (BPI) commitment to preserving local culture and strengthening the social relations of coastal communities was once again realized through its support for the Sea Alms of Roban Barat 2025. This annual tradition was held on July 7, 2025 at Dukuh Roban Barat, Kedungsegog Village, Tulis District, Batang Regency. In supporting this annual event, BPI is involved through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program which aims to encourage the preservation of the traditions of the fishing community. This support is given because BPI believes that maintaining cultural heritage is an important part of building togetherness between elements of society. This activity was also attended by representatives from the Batang Regency Marine, Fisheries and Livestock Service Office (Dislutkannak), Tulis Sub-District Head, Danramil Tulis, Tulis Police, Tegal Naval Base, fishermen, and the local community.

The fishermen's thanksgiving activity in order to welcome the Saka New Year 1958 which coincides with the month of Suro is an ancestral tradition full of spiritual meaning. Through the Nyadran or Sedekah Laut procession, the community expresses gratitude for sustenance from the sea and prays for safety. The event is enlivened with recitations, Sea Alms, traditional arts, and shadow puppets as a form of cultural preservation. PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia (BPI) as a company operating in the Batang coastal area, also supports the preservation of this tradition through CSR programs as part of its commitment to maintain harmony with the community.

General Manager Stakeholder Relations of PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia (BPI), Aryamir H. Sulasmoro, through CSR & Community Relations Manager Ahmad Lukman, expressed his hope that this activity could have a positive impact on the community.

"I hope this activity can inspire us all to always be grateful and ask for blessings from Allah SWT. May our seas always be preserved and become a source of abundant sustenance, especially for fishermen,"

The Head of Kedungsegog Village, Rusbad, expressed his appreciation for the support from various parties in his remarks thanking the agencies and donors who have supported this event.

"For the implementation of this sea alms thanksgiving activity, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all agencies, donors, especially PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia, and all parties who have supported and contributed. This support means a lot to our community and is a tangible form of togetherness in preserving traditions and maintaining the blessings of the sea." Said Rusbad

Through support for the West Roban Fishermen Sea Alms activity, BPI hopes that the noble values and spirit of mutual cooperation of the fishing community can be maintained and passed on to future generations, as part of the cultural identity and social harmony of coastal communities. In addition to supporting cultural preservation, BPI also consistently runs various empowerment programs in coastal areas, building fish houses for the fishermen's economy, and planting mangroves to maintain the marine ecosystem. These activities are a tangible manifestation of BPI's commitment in strengthening the economic resilience of fishermen while maintaining the sustainability of the coastal environment.
