Assisting Flood Victims, Batang Power Plant Delivers Logistical Aid to the Social Affairs Office

Bhimasena Power, Batang Power Plant – PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia (BPI), as the owner of the 2 x 1,000 MW Batang Power Plant, demonstrated its concern for residents affected by flooding in Batang Regency by distributing emergency logistical aid. The assistance was symbolically handed over to the Batang Regency Government through the Batang Regency Social Affairs Office on Sunday, 25 January 2026, at the Tagana Emergency Response Post and Public Kitchen of the Batang Regency Social Affairs Office.

This rapid response action is part of BPI’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program aimed at alleviating the burden on communities whose homes were inundated by flooding caused by heavy rainfall that has affected Batang Regency over the past few days.

The assistance provided includes urgent basic necessities such as rice, instant noodles, cooking oil, eggs, and other essential items, which will be immediately distributed to villages affected by floods and landslides.

The General Manager of Stakeholder Relations of PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia, Aryamir H. Sulasmoro through Government Relations & Permit Assistant Manager Wicaksono P. Aji expressed his sympathy for the disaster that struck Batang residents.

“We, the entire Batang Power Plant family, share in the hardships experienced by the community. The distribution of this assistance reflects the company’s commitment and social responsibility to be present for the community, especially during emergency situations like this. We are closely coordinating with the Social Affairs Office to ensure the aid is well targeted and that its benefits can be felt promptly by flood and landslide survivors,” said Aryamir.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Batang Regency Social Affairs Office, Wilopo, expressed appreciation for the swift initiative taken by PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia in supporting the local government’s disaster response efforts.

“On behalf of the Batang Regency Government, we extend our gratitude to PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia for its consistent concern. This logistical support is extremely valuable for replenishing supplies at the public kitchen and ensuring that the needs of residents in Klidang and Karangasem Villages affected by flooding, as well as Peranten Village impacted by landslides, are met. Synergy between the private sector and the government is expected to ease the community’s burden and support the post-disaster recovery process,” Wilopo stated.
