Safety as a Core Value: BPI’s Commitment During the 2026 National OHS Month

Plant – PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia (BPI), the owner of the Batang Power
Plant 2 x 1,000 MW, commemorated National Occupational Safety and Health (OHS)
Month 2026, held from January 12 to February 12, 2026. The commemoration served
as an important momentum to further strengthen the occupational safety and
health culture that has become one of the company’s core values across all
operational activities.
Carrying the theme “Building a
Professional, Reliable, and Collaborative National OHS Management Ecosystem,”
the series of National OHS Month 2026 activities aimed to enhance awareness,
understanding, and sustainable implementation of OHS principles among all
employees and stakeholders.
General Manager of Health, Safety
& Environment (HSE) of PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia, Josman Ginting,
emphasized that occupational safety and health are the primary foundation of
the company’s operational sustainability. Safety is the top priority and
non-negotiable. Every operational activity is carried out under the principle
of safety is our utmost priority, in line with the company’s commitment to
protecting workers, partners, assets, and the surrounding environment.
“At BPI, safety is not merely
regulatory compliance, but a corporate value embedded in every decision and
work activity. Through National OHS Month 2026, we want to reaffirm that every
individual has a role and responsibility in creating a safe and healthy working
environment,” said Josman.
He added that outstanding OHS
performance can only be achieved through collective commitment and
collaboration from all parties.
“A strong OHS culture is built
through consistency, exemplary leadership, and collaboration between
management, workers, and business partners. We hope the National OHS Month
activities will further strengthen safe work behavior as a daily culture within
BPI,” he added.
PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia
reaffirmed its commitment to continuously prioritize safety as the company’s
core value, create a safe, healthy, and productive work environment, and
support the strengthening of a professional, reliable, and sustainable national
OHS management system.
As a tangible manifestation of
this commitment, BPI organized various activities during National OHS Month
2026, including an OHS Seminar themed Occupational Disease Awareness, a blood
donation drive in collaboration with PMI Batang Regency, safety trainings such
as Life Saving Rules, Basic First Aid, and Basic Fire Fighting, as well as OHS
campaigns through educational media.
Chairman of PMI Batang Regency,
Ahmad Taufik, expressed his appreciation for BPI’s consistency in supporting
humanitarian initiatives through the blood donation program. He noted that this
collaboration not only helps maintain blood supply availability but also
reflects the company’s social responsibility toward the community.
“PMI Batang Regency appreciates
PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia’s initiative in regularly organizing blood
donation activities. The active participation of BPI employees significantly
helps meet the community’s blood supply needs. We hope this humanitarian synergy
will continue and inspire other institutions,” said Ahmad Taufik.
In addition, BPI also organized
healthy sports programs, Virtual Run & Ride, and installed OHS banners and
posters throughout office areas and BPI operational sites, both in Batang and
the Jakarta Office, as a continuous reminder of the importance of occupational
