Liga 1 Bhimasena Officially Launched, Strengthening the Development of Local Football Talent in Batang
Bhimasena Power - Batang Power Plant — Liga 1 Bhimasena
of the Batang Regency Football Association (PSSI Batang), supported by PT
Bhimasena Power Indonesia (BPI), the operator of the Batang Power Plant, was
officially launched at Karanggeneng Village Field, Kandeman District, Batang
Regency, on Monday, 19 January 2026. The competition is organized as an effort
to foster and develop local football talent while providing a sustainable
competitive platform for football clubs in Batang Regency.
The General Manager of
Stakeholder Relations of PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia, Aryamir H. Sulasmoro,
stated that BPI’s support for Liga 1 Bhimasena reflects the company’s
commitment to supporting sports development and youth empowerment at the
regional level. He emphasized that football plays a strategic role in shaping
character, promoting sportsmanship, and nurturing young talent.
“Through this sponsorship, we
hope to nurture and enhance football talents, particularly in Batang Regency.
Our aspiration is that these local players can eventually emerge as future
national players,” said Aryamir H. Sulasmoro.
He further explained that BPI
aims to provide opportunities for players who may not yet have been widely
recognized to gain competitive match experience. According to him, a
sustainable competition structure is essential to help local talent grow and
attract the attention of talent scouts.
“We want to cultivate a spirit of
sportsmanship and provide space for talents that may have gone unnoticed, so
they can gain experience and continue to develop,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Secretary General
of PSSI Batang, Mufarid, expressed his appreciation for the full support
provided by PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia in organizing the 2025–2026 Liga 1
Bhimasena season. He noted that in previous years, the competition had been
held through self-funding, which placed a financial burden on participating
teams.
“Praise be to God, starting this
season all competition costs are fully covered by Bhimasena Power Indonesia.
This support significantly eases the burden on teams and improves the overall
quality of the league’s organization,” Mufarid stated.
Mufarid explained that Liga 1
Bhimasena is participated in by 20 football teams divided into four groups
using a league table competition system. Matches are held at two venues:
Karanggeneng Field and Harjowinangun Field. The preliminary rounds run from 17
January to 5 February 2026, while the semifinal and final matches will be
scheduled in coordination with Persibat’s calendar to avoid scheduling
conflicts.
For the Liga 1 category, Mufarid
added, there is no age restriction for players. However, each team is allowed
to field a maximum of three players from outside Batang Regency. He expressed
hope that the competition would serve as a talent incubator for Batang players,
enabling them to strengthen Persibat Batang and progress to higher levels of
competition.
“We hope Liga 1 Bhimasena will
become a proving ground for Batang players to compete at regional and national
levels,” he concluded.
