Greening Batang: Bhimasena Power Plants Hundreds of Trees with Batang Regency Government

Bhimasena Power, Batang Power Plant – PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia, the owner of Batang Power Plant, handed over 300 tree seedlings to the Batang Regency Government in an event held in conjunction with the Sambang Desa (Village Visit) program at the Integrated Waste Management Site (TPST) in Tersono Village on Monday, October 6, 2025.

Batang Regent M. Faiz Kurniawan expressed his highest appreciation for PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia’s continuous efforts to preserve the environment by restoring land cover and supporting sustainable development in Batang Regency through tree planting along Yos Sudarso and Ujungnegoro roads.

“With the opening of land cover in Batang Regency, we invite all parties—investors and industry players alike—to take part in restoring environmental balance. One of the instruments to achieve this is by reestablishing the land cover that we have previously safeguarded,” said M. Faiz Kurniawan.

Chief Operating Officer of PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia, Naofumi Yasuda, stated that this initiative represents the company’s support for realizing Batang Regency as a Clean Industrial City. The distribution of tree seedlings is also part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) program aimed at improving environmental quality and supporting sustainable development in the region.

“We believe that a green and healthy environment is key to enhancing people’s quality of life. Therefore, we are committed to continuing our support for local government initiatives to preserve nature and raise public awareness about the importance of environmental conservation,” said Naofumi Yasuda.

To date, PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia has planted tens of thousands of trees in the greenbelt area of the Batang Power Plant, as well as along Roban Beach, coastal zones, and watershed (DAS) throughout Batang Regency. (**)
