Batang Power Plant Educates Students Through the BEST Class Program
Bhimasena Power, Batang Power Plant – PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia (BPI), through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, organized the BEST (BPI Experience, Sharing and Teaching) Class Program for students of SMA Bakti Praja 2 Batang on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at the Administration Building of Batang Power Plant. The program aims to enhance students’ knowledge of the electricity generation industry and the advanced technologies applied at Batang Power Plant.
General Manager of Stakeholder Relations of PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia, Aryamir H. Sulasmoro, represented by CSR & Community Relation Manager Ahmad Lukman, stated that the BEST Class Program is an outreach activity designed as a short class in collaboration with schools located around the company’s operational area.
“The BEST Class Program provides an opportunity for secondary-level students in Batang Regency to see and better understand Batang Power Plant, which operates modern technology and is committed to safety and environmental protection,” said Aryamir H. Sulasmoro.
He explained that students were chosen as a strategic target audience due to their strong intellectual capacity, so that the information delivered could be optimally absorbed and shared with their families and the wider community.
“We hope that teachers, and especially the students, can make the most of this opportunity to gain maximum benefits and be motivated to continue learning and contributing to the future,” he added.
The Principal of SMA Bakti Praja 2 Batang, Rr. Tri Utaminingsih, S.Pd., welcomed the implementation of the BEST Class Program. According to her, the activity provided valuable learning experiences for students by giving them direct exposure to the industrial world.
“Through the BEST Class Program, we hope that students will develop an interest in various activities and career opportunities at the power plant. In addition, this program enables teachers to play an active role in providing insights and opening job opportunities for local youth, particularly from the 14 villages surrounding the power plant,” she said.
One of the participating students, Hendri Kusuma, expressed his enthusiasm for taking part in the BEST Class Program. He noted that the materials presented were easy to understand and offered new insights into Batang Power Plant.
“The BEST Class Program is very beneficial for students of SMA Bakti Praja 2, as it provides easier access to information on scholarships, job opportunities, and a better understanding of what goes on inside Batang Power Plant,” he said. (**)
